MIDDLEFIELD -- The Hampshire County Registry of Deeds recorded five property transfers in Middlefield between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only one carried a disclosed sale price, limiting what conclusions can be drawn about the town's July market.

Of those, one included a disclosed consideration amount: $195,800 for a property on East River Road, recorded July 22. At 9 Alderman Rd, Edward James and the Farrelly Family Farm Trust transferred the property to the town of Middlefield on July 28. Price not disclosed.

At 24 Chester Rd, Berkshire Bank transferred the property to Jane M. Peirce on July 23. Price not disclosed.

At 191 East River Rd, Ernest J. Begin and Elizabeth A. Begin transferred the property to Begin Your Stay LLC on July 22. Price not disclosed.

NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN East River Road saw two recorded transfers on the same day, July 22: one from Ernest J. Begin and Elizabeth A. Begin to Begin Your Stay LLC (191 East River Rd, price not disclosed), and a same-address transfer, recorded as 191 E River Rd, from Begin Your Stay LLC to Verus Residential Loanco LLC and Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. for $195,800.
