PLAINFIELD -- April 21, 2026, Plainfield special town meeting unanimously approves $14,000 to repave the basketball court at Town Park. Residents convened April 21 at town hall for a single-warrant-article session, nominating Ed Moran as temporary moderator before turning to the sole item of business. The article authorized a transfer of $14,000 from the town's free cash account to the Recreation Committee to cover paving and resurfacing of the basketball court at Plainfield Town Park, 348 Main Street. No discussion was offered from the floor, and the vote passed without opposition.
