HADLEY — The Hadley Housing Authority voted to join the state's mandatory property insurance program and approved a string of financial measures. Commissioners approved warrant reports for October, November and December 2025, each by a 3-0 vote, and a $11,905.80 administrative fee to the Amherst Housing Authority tied to a $119,058 renovation contract. A board member said that reserves looked healthy heading into a Golden Court door-replacement project set to start by late April.
A board member said reserves matter because capital projects are "fraught with overruns." The board deferred a vote on a new management agreement with Amherst Housing Authority to its July 28 meeting.
