Cultural Council readies survey on grant priorities
Easthampton Cultural Council agreed to send out a community survey on grant guidelines and priorities.
Easthampton Cultural Council · Meeting of June 16, 2026
Easthampton Cultural Council agreed to send out a community survey on grant guidelines and priorities. Members said they want feedback by August, when they plan to decide their local guidelines, and discussed distributing it through the website, the grantee mailing list, printed copies, a QR code, Art Walk and the Farmer's Market. The council also heard that artist Amy Johnquest was due to finish two utility box murals by week's end, paid from the 20 percent of its Massachusetts Cultural Council block grant the council reserves for its own project.
Easthampton City Arts voted to pursue a nonprofit arm, a member said. Most members reach the end of three-year terms in September, and a member warned "the city will lose the block grant" without enough members for a quorum.
