Licensing Board · Meeting of October 5, 2026

Easthampton Licensing Board approved three one-day liquor license requests and pressed for answers on two lapsed licenses tied to closed businesses. Chair Stephen Desaulniers said pending state legislation extending a 2016-era sunset clause to 2030 could free up eight new liquor licenses in the city's Downtown, Mill and Highway districts within "one to two months." Candy Laflam, representing the Polish Pulaski Club of Easthampton, told the board the club is "bleeding money" and corrected its license request from 10 to 20 dates, covering a hall rental and weekly Sunday openings. Licensing Clerk Evan LeBeau said he is awaiting a city solicitor opinion on an address-locked 2016 license held by the closing Community Food Engine, LLC, and on options for an in-quota all-alcohol restaurant license from the closed Tavern on the Hill.

The board will not meet in November and reconvenes December 7.
