Granby Library Trustees Endorse Signage Purchase, Accept $250 Friends Gift for Staff Day
GRANBY — July 13, 2026 — Granby Library Trustees voted unanimously Monday to endorse the purchase of a sandwich board and a table runner for public outreach, with vendor lead times driving urgency ahead of the town's Dino Fest community event. The board also accepted a $250 gift from the Friends of the Granby Free Public Library to fund a July 22 staff development and appreciation day — a step Library Director Jen Crosby said was recommended by the state ethics commission to formally document the agreement between the two entities. Three financial warrants totaling roughly $18,516 were approved, including an $8,684 CW MARS network bill for fiscal year 2027. The nominating committee's officer slate was confirmed unanimously: Paula as chair, Rosemary Rose as vice chair, and Louisa Davis Freeman as incoming secretary. Crosby reported June circulation of 5,420 items and an estimated $72,000 in community savings for the month, and said she had scheduled a building tour with the new town administrator for the following day to discuss the library's strategic plans and her own potential shift to contract employee status.
