EASTHAMPTON — The ECA Coordinating Committee reviewed a proposed Chamber of Commerce partnership to revive the Cultural Chaos street festival in June 2027. A member said the projected budget was $24,500, with municipal costs of $6,800 against $3,500 in 2025. The member proposed using a $15,000 cultural district allocation and asking the Chamber for $10,000, with a February 15 funding deadline discussed.
The Chamber board had not voted September 9 because four members, including the treasurer, were absent. The Cottage Street Cultural District Committee voted unanimously to proceed with or without the Chamber. Members also approved June minutes and weighed a tagline for the festival's name.
The committee planned to vote on holding the event on Monday, October 5.
